HP 1090 pump problem - 2005/11/28 18:54
I'm having problems getting a Hewlett Packard 1090 Liquid Chromatograph up and running again. The problem lies in the fact that the pump will not pump any solvent through the system and the software shows no pressure. I would think that this is due to the pump having dried out. However, as this is an older machine I have not been able to find anywhere to attach a syringe to push or pull solvent through the pump. With no software control and switching on the pump on the machine the pump light comes on and the pump sounds like it is trying to work. Trying to turn on the pump whilst the machine is connected to the HP Chemstation software either by the software or directly on the machine results in a red "Error" light on the machine. Any suggestions would be appreciated along with any information as to who now makes the HP HPLC machines as I could not find any information at www.hp.com.
Thank you to anyone who can help.

I hope by now you found a solution to ur problem, what I want to say that we experinced a same problem with 1100 model when working with flow rate 1ml/min, but when increasing the flow rate to 2ml/min things work fine and then we return to the 1ml/min flow rate
